G'day, hope you had a great weekend! In this video I share my first match with my new CZ Shadow 2 Blue at the City of Brisbane Pistol Club. At this competition we shot 12 stages in one day.
This match was the first match that I had shot that was 12 stages in one day. It proved to be quite a challenge for all who participated. While it was challenging is was fun and enjoyable.
My CZ Shadow 2 Blue (CZS2B) was still stock as a rock and I was shooting my own reloads in this match. With only the factory springs installed the CZS2B works flawlessly with factory ammo. But as I experienced in one of the biggest stages of the match the heavy recoil spring is too much to overcome for the hand loaded ammo in this case. I did persevere with the pistol being stock for a decent chunk of time, but got the same stoppage a number of times during practice.
I decided to lash out a buy the CZS2B upgrade spring kit from EemannTech. With this kit installed I had no more of the stoppages I was experiencing while it was stock. An added bonus with the new kit is the trigger springs and the disconnector. They provide you with a totally different feeling trigger, lighter and a considerable difference in reset. This package is totally worth it, whether you are a beginner or a grand master.
So I hope you enjoy my latest video. Otherwise until next time keep shooting and I'll catch you down the range!
